The Mapleton Bridle Up Hope Story

Janis Lindley, the founder of Bridle Up Hope Mapleton Utah, has loved riding horses all of her life! From the time she was a little girl, her brothers would hoist her up on their saddles with them and give her rides around the block. When she was eleven, she got her first horse, a mare she named Chica. Together, Janis and Chica loved participating in 4-H and enjoyed barrel racing at the local county fair! Janis’ husband, Corey Lindley, also had a horse when he was younger. When they married, Janis shared with Corey her dream to have eight children and a horse one day!

That dream came true and now Janis and Corey have created Equine Charities, a 501 (c)(3) public charity to support Bridle Up Hope Mapleton Utah. Janis became acquainted with Sean and Rebecca Covey and their Bridle Up Hope non-profit organization several years ago when she attended a fundraiser luncheon for Bridle Up Hope in Alpine-- the Headquarters of Bridle Up Hope. As Janis learned about their goals and desire to help even more girls and women through spreading their life and horse skills program throughout the world by partnering with other equestrian centers and family owned barns, she knew she wanted to be a part of it. Being the parents of 8 children and grandparents of 25, Janis and Corey know the value of life skills and the amazing life experiences that come from working with horses. Together they decided they would purchase some available land for sale in Mapleton, Utah and build a facility to partner with Bridle Up Hope in helping more girls and women in their community. Bridle Up Hope Mapleton Utah is delighted to start a brand new chapter of this life-changing program of learning and growth.
